Hello! From CNN, I'm Jo Beck with the 5 things you need to know for Tuesday, July 23rd.

Vice President Kamala Harris has now got all the support she needs from delegates to secure the Democratic nomination. Since President Joe Biden announced he was dropping out of the race on Sunday. She's gotten endorsem*nts from potential rivals, lawmakers, governors, influential labor and advocacy groups, as well as a wave of state delegations. And her campaign says it's raised $100 million since Sunday. Even Beyoncé appears to be getting behind Harris, giving her permission to use her song "Freedom" for campaign events. Harris walked out to it for her first campaign headquarters visit yesterday.

Hey, Delaware! (Crowd cheering "Kamala! Kamala!")

00:00:47

Which Biden joined virtually.

I want you to know I won't be on the ticket, but I'm still going to be fully, fully engaged.

Biden might not be going anywhere. But Harris still needs a running mate. Josh Shapiro, Roy Cooper, Gretchen Whitmer, Andy Beshear and Mark Kelly, a governors of key 2024 battleground states and are likely to be on the shortlist, joining the likes of California Governor Gavin Newsom, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

00:01:16

Former President Donald Trump is already scrambling his own campaign against Harris. Within hours of Biden dropping out of the race and endorsing his vice president, Trump's campaign had released a statement attacking her record and passed in California. While Trump's VP pick JD Vance slammed the new Democratic frontrunner in his solo campaign debut in Ohio.

If you want to lead this country, you should feel grateful for it. And I never hear that gratitude come through when I listen to Kamala Harris.

Meanwhile, Trump's lawyers have asked a New York appeals court to throw out the $454 million judgment in his civil fraud trial. They say the penalty was unconstitutional and that most of the case should have been barred because the conduct was too old.

Most young women and girls surveyed around the world say they face regular harm online. CNN's Kristie Lu Stout tells us more.

Hey, Joe. Online sexual abuse is happening on a global scale. This is according to an exclusive study from CNN as Equals and Plan International. It says girls and young women in South America, Africa and Asia report facing online harm regularly. Now, this study surveyed 600 young women and girls between the ages of 13 and 24, and found that 75% have faced harm online, with more than 1 in 10 experiencing it daily or almost daily. And they want change. 61% of them called for digital literacy, and they say that the burden should be on the platforms to better safeguard them.

Police in Illinois have released the body cam footage of a black woman who was shot and killed in her home after calling 911. The video shows officers responding to 36 year old Sonya Massey's call in the early hours of July 6th, after court documents show she reported a possible prowler in the footage. Deputy Sean Grayson and a colleague speak calmly with Massey in her home, but then get confrontational after she goes to the stove to turn off a pot of boiling water.

Shots fired. Shots fired. Shots fired. Bring you the house now. We got a headshot. One of the female heads out with the female.

1070 eight minutes after the shooting, Grayson speaks to another law enforcement figure claiming Massey, quote, came at him with boiling water. But the body cam footage from the other deputy shows Massey was standing at a distance and not coming towards Grayson. The sheriff's office said it has fired Grayson and he's facing murder charges. CNN has reached out to his attorney for comments.

Coming up, a major U.S. airline is still struggling to recover from last week's global tech outage. Delta is facing pressure to get passengers back in the air as the company continues to rack up the majority of canceled flights in the US. The carrier has been particularly slow to recover, more than four days after a global tech outage caused massive delays that left travelers stranded at airports. Delta passengers have been slammed by more than 4,400 cancellations since Friday, including hundreds this morning alone. By far the most of any airline. Delta CEO apologized to affected travelers.

00:04:33

That's all for now. I'll be back with more news at 9 a.m. eastern.
