NO SHORT MEETINGS - EMAIL!I offer again an opinion. If it's a 7-minute or 15-minute meeting, it's NOT a meeting, it's an email and even more of a waste of time than an hour. ALL meetings should be 2 hours, or they are emails. Meetings are to MEET, and comfortably and enjoyably make decisions on things that are too complex for email. If you can decide it in 7 minutes you are wasting a massive amount of time. Remember, it's not just the meeting, it's getting to it, booking it, checking calendars, etc..#no15minutemeetings#allmeetingsare2hour

In a world where we are bombarded with communications let's put an end to 3 things:1. Replying all to announcement emails. It is the equivalent to yelling "Congratulations!" across the office when you find out Denise got a promotion.2. Talking on speakerphone in public. If you are on speakerphone in a public place, I take that as my invitation to join in the conversation, so I will oblige and join your call.3. Scheduling virtual meetings when an email would suffice. Just because we can schedule a meeting to discuss rescheduling a meeting, doesn't mean we should.....just send an email.

Not self employed but this is a great best practice! How can your team get a fast start on their actual work if they are in meetings the first and last hour of their day? Planning starts the night before, give your team their mornings to do their work.

We've all experienced those meetings that seem to drag on without any real purpose. sitting through a meeting that could have easily been summarized in an email is a waste of time. "Time is our most valuable resource" and it's crucial to use it wisely.Whenever calling for meetings, let's remember to consider whether they are truly necessary. Sometimes, a well-crafted email can convey the same information in a fraction of the time, allowing everyone to stay focused on their tasks and priorities.
